PROVIDER'S NETWORK STAFF AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Carrie Sullivan, the unwavering Executive Director of Provider’s Network and certified CACFP Management Professional, has held this position since January 2015. Prior to her directorship, Carrie served as the PNI Board President for seven years. Her journey began in March 2002 when she established a Home I Childcare, which evolved into a Home II site over time, ultimately leading her to the role of Provider’s Network Director. Carrie also serves on the KidKare Customer Advisory Board and UNL Parents Association Board.

Before her childcare experience, Carrie worked as a paralegal in Lincoln for many years. Her husband, an IT Consultant with the State of Maryland, adds to their family’s diverse background. With three adult children and three grandchildren, Carrie’s personal life is rich and fulfilling. She and her family share a love for camping and travel throughout the year.

Carrie’s extensive career experience and commitment to supporting childcare providers and families fuel her passion for creating successful and sustainable opportunities for Nebraska’s children and families.

Lara Brown, a committed Administrative Assistant, has been with Provider’s Network since August 2009. She brings over 30 years of experience, having previously worked for another Nebraska CACFP Sponsor. Lara and her husband have been married for over 30 years and they have one son, a cat, and a “grand” dog. Lara is passionate about volunteering at her dad’s memory facility and facilitating a monthly Dementia Support Group. When not with family, she enjoys daily walks, decluttering, yard work, and rock painting. Lara also relishes lunches with friends and watching Huskers and Yankees games, as well as funny comedies and suspenseful TV dramas. Her rewarding years in the CACFP continue to provide new learning experiences.

Lisa Benson-Garza, a dedicated Program Advisor and National Safety Council Pediatric CPR/FA Instructor, brings 21 years of experience to Provider’s Network. Prior to her current role, Lisa served as an in-home childcare provider for a decade, providing her with a unique perspective on utilizing the food program from both provider and advisor perspectives. Lisa’s commitment extends to onboarding new providers into the Provider’s Network family.

Lisa’s work takes her across the State of Nebraska, visiting each childcare provider’s location. Beyond her professional life, she enjoys quality time with her adult children and eight grandchildren. Lisa’s love for travel also leads her to Colorado, where she delights in family visits and the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Her experiences and genuine passion contribute significantly to Provider’s Network.

Becky Burns, an experienced Program Advisor and National Safety Council Pediatric CPR/FA Instructor, has been an integral part of Provider’s Network since January 2011. Prior to this role, from April 1994 to December 2010, she served as a diligent Home Childcare Provider. During that period, Becky actively participated in the Child & Adult Care Food Program through Provider’s Network, gaining valuable insights from both provider and advisor perspectives. Her commitment to supporting all providers is unwavering, and she finds her position at Provider’s Network exceptionally fulfilling.

Becky’s personal life is equally rich: she and her husband have shared 33 years of marriage. Her husband, a retired military veteran who served during the Iraq war, adds depth to their family history. With five grown children aged 31 to 40 and 11 grandchildren spanning 8 months to 20 years old, Becky’s family life is vibrant and diverse.

In her leisure time, Becky enjoys fishing, tending to her garden, and generously sharing the fruits of her labor with others. Her multifaceted experiences enrich her contributions to Provider’s Network.

Maricela Meza, a seasoned Program Advisor and Spanish Translator, brings 16 years of experience to Provider’s Network. Her primary focus has been assisting Spanish-speaking providers. Maricela, married for 17 years, is a dedicated mother to four sons and a daughter. She cherishes family walks and park outings, fostering her children’s curiosity for new places. Passionate about cooking and experimenting with recipes, Maricela finds fulfillment in her work at Provider’s Network, where she interacts with individuals from diverse countries and cultures.
